The Rolling Stones’ No Filter Tour Set To Hit the Road
Nothing stops the Rolling Stones from fulfilling their obligations. The British government couldn’t break them on a wheel, French mobsters and police couldn’t stop them from recording a classic album, and neither heartbreak nor their dear doctor could silence them. The band promised “No Filter,” and the devil would have no sympathy for anything less. After a 16-month pandemic postponement, The Rolling Stones are set to play 13 stadium shows this fall, kicking off Sept. 26 in St. Louis, according to the band’s official website.
“I’m so excited to get back on the stage again and want to thank everyone for their patience. See you soon,” Mick Jagger said in a statement. “We’re back on the road. See you there,” Keith Richards added.
The group’s hands weren’t idle during the lockdown. They recently dropped their The Rolling Stones‘ A Bigger Bang: Live On Copacabana Beach live album and concert film. They also released a song called “Living In A Ghost Town,” which captured the empty streets of the early pandemic in a video. But even before COVID-19 hit, the Rolling Stones postponed their 2019 North American tour while Mick Jagger recovered from heart surgery.
The Rolling Stones will kick off the tour at The Dome in St. Louis on Sept. 26, with rescheduled stops in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Minneapolis, Tampa, Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit, and Austin following. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled performances. Promoted by AEG Presents’ Concerts West, the Stones added three new shows: Los Angeles on Oct. 17, Las Vegas on Nov. 6, and their first time playing at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on October 13.
Previously scheduled dates for Vancouver, Louisville, Cleveland, and Buffalo were unable to be rescheduled.
